Our Nonprofit Organization
Mission
Our nonprofit organization consists primarily of semiprofessional and professional artists, writers, musicians and designers with the following common goals:
1. To foster inspiration and support through the discussion and sharing of our projects featuring diverse media and disciplines, in our monthly salons.
2. To support early career professional artists in the dissemination of their work through exhibition features and concerts, grant application advice, networking and feedback.
3. To educate and engage a diverse public in current and historical artistic practices, contributing to a healthier arts community in the British Columbia lower mainland.
Vision
A diverse and well-connected multidisciplinary artistic community in British Columbia’s lower mainland, fostering new paradigms for professional artistic collaborations, lifelong arts education, and community engagement.
Salons and Exhibitions
Our next Salon is November 10th, 2024, more information here.
Our Salons are typically held the second Sunday of every month. Our venues include the Central Branch of Vancouver Public Library, Braid Street Studios (New Westminster), The Gallery at Queen’s Park, and the Gallery of Charles Van Sandwyk (Gastown).
We also host larger exhibitions featuring our members’ works, and informal gatherings to foster public interest in local artists.

Dizz McGruber: Glitch and Multimedia Artist
“As a visual artist, I find inspiration in the unexpected and the imperfect. My journey began at the age of five when a glitched file on a floppy disk caught my attention, revealing corrupted image data. This early encounter sparked a fascination with the interplay between technology and art. In my roles as an artist, skateboarder, and father, I continuously seek to push the boundaries of conventional artistic techniques, inviting viewers to experience the beauty and complexity that arises from the convergence of art, technology, and human perception.”
Sydney Green: Comic Artist
Sydney Green is an illustrator, writer, and graphic designer from Texas, USA. She has lived in BC since 2010, writing and drawing comics primarily in the horror genre inspired by the works of Edward Gorey, Junji Ito, and Angela Carter.
